Print a file list from Windows Explorer
There isn't a built in way to print a file list from Windows Explorer. That's why we developed a program to make a list of the files in Windows Explorer and print a file list using Microsoft Word and Excel for printing. The advantages of this approach are that you can select just the files you want from Windows Explorer for your file list, including files from several different folders, and then you can use all the print formatting power of Word or Excel to print the file lists. You can also filter and sort the files in Excel before printing. Try it for free for 30 days

Printing file lists made easy
First - find the files to print With DDFileCatcher, you use Windows Explorer to find the files and folders, and then just drag & drop them onto DDFileCatcher like picking up eggs and putting them in a basket. That makes DDFileCatcher very flexible and powerful. It can search subfolders and complete drives, and give you over 340 file properties. It also searches subfolders and drives.
Second - print the files DDFileCatcher makes tables of files in Microsoft Excel and Word. All the formatting features of those applications can be used to give you the output format you want. Just put the text cursor where you want the list to appear. DDFileCatcher puts the file properties in separate columns, and recognizes existing tables of file information when adding to them.
In their item "How to Print a Folder Listing in Windows", Microsoft suggest using Print Screen and saving an image of the Windows Explorer window using Microsoft Paint. The problem with this method is that the list can't be manipulated, ie sorted, searched, edited or printed in a different format, for example landscape. File lists made by DDFileCatcher can be printed, searched, put in spreadsheets or databases and printed in any format set with your word processor or other program.
Super fast, super simple! Thanks for this outstanding program.
